The oldest Modenese coachbuilder still in business, Campana Onorio s.r.l. was founded in 1947 by Onorio and Erasmo Campana, who had then left the pioneering Bacchelli and Bertolini. They began rebuilding and transforming cars from the battlefields into small trucks for local transport and all the nascent post-war activities, and also into hearses, ambulances and advertising vehicles.
‘The first body shop was in the country behind our house, outdoors. We didn’t have any equipment; we started with a few hammers and other tools that we made ourselves. We also built a gasometer that was used for welding,’ recalls Onorio Campana.
Body shop, workshop, direct support to manufacturers, Maserati spare parts and more.
In the 1990s, Campana acquired the stock of original bodywork and mechanical parts from 1958 to 1982 directly from Maserati. Some parts are now only available here. It is the largest Maserati parts warehouse in the world with a total of more than 800,000 new parts and around 100,000 reconditioned used parts. In addition to historical parts, the company can supply parts for cars from 1982 to the present day and rebuild some parts that are no longer available on the market, to better serve its international customer base. Thanks to the extensive knowledge of its technicians, Campana supplies private and business customers all over the world.
Campana Onorio is located at Via Tito Livio 60, Modena.
