The collection was born from the ashes of the exhibition of historical Italjet models from the 1990s at the motorcycle company’s historic headquarters in San Lazzaro di Savena. Creator and curator of that exhibition had been Pasquale Mesto, who, upon the closure of the factory, managed to keep what was on display from being dispersed and, over time, to supplement it with other representative examples of the company’s history.
A small display of more than 30 models produced in Italjet’s 50 years of existence, which manage to tell the story of its owner Leopoldo Tartarini’s acknowledged aptitude for anticipating styles and fashion with masterly inventiveness.
To visit the Pasquale Mesto Collection, reservations must be made by phone.
