The University of Ferrara is one of the oldest universities in Italy: it was founded in 1391 by Marquis Alberto V d’Este, by concession of Pope Boniface IX. Today Unife offers a wide range of degree courses, with its 12 Departments, plus the Faculty of Medicine, Pharmacy and Prevention.
