Dallara was founded in 1972 by the current president, Eng. Giampaolo Dallara, who, after working at Ferrari, Maserati, Lamborghini and De Tomaso, wanted to continue to cultivate his dream of working in the world of racing cars.
Thus, “Dallara Automobili da Competizione” was born in Varano dè Melegari (Parma), his hometown.

Successes in Formula 3, first in Italy and then all over the world, success in America with IndyCar, consulting for important manufacturers, and a constant focus on technology and innovation are all factors that have led Dallara to be one of the most important companies specializing in the design, production and development of racing cars.

Dallara’s engineering activities cover racing cars, high-performance road cars and, in recent years, also the Aerospace and Defense sector. The consultancy offered by the company has covered the most important international automotive brands, including Alfa Romeo, Audi, Bugatti, Ferrari, KTM, Lamborghini, and Maserati.
