The Zonda Aether one-off derives from the standard Zonda Roadster. It’s the number 131 of the 140 Zonda built and is part of the “760” types; models equipped with the aspirated 760 HP 7.3-liter V12 engine. During the RM Sotheby’s auction on 30 November 2019 in Abu Dhabi, it was sold for a record amount of 6,148,100 euros (excluding taxes). It has thus become the hypercar of the Atelier of San Cesario Sul Panaro most expensive ever, after the Zonda HP Barchetta.
The extensive customizations of the car are not limited to the colors and materials used for the interiors, but also involve aerodynamics with carbon fiber spoilers and specific alloy wheels. The bodywork is not painted just like the extreme Zonda R which the Aether is inspired by. Inside there are one piece seats covered in leather with handcrafted stitching, leather laces instead of door opening handles and the start button on the central console.
