MUNER coordinates three inter-university Master’s degree programs, designed to meet the needs of today’s automotive industry and to train vehicle engineers with specialized skills that are immediately applicable in the workforce: Advanced Automotive Engineering, Electric Vehicle Engineering, Electronic Engineering for Intellingent Vehicles. All programs involve strong engagement with partner companies and are built around a practical, project-based approach, enabling students to develop technical skills, problem-solving abilities, and a deep understanding of industrial processes.

MUNER organizes thematic Summer and Winter Schools, designed both to explore emerging topics in an intensive format and to provide targeted orientation pathways toward the Master’s degree programs. The schools cover key subjects in the automotive sector — such as electrification, autonomous driving, sustainability, and the energy transition — and are aimed at students, PhD candidates, and industry professionals. The format combines lectures, hands-on workshops, company visits, and presentations by industry experts, often supported technically and financially by partner companies and the Emilia-Romagna Region.

MUNER’s strength lies in its network of industrial partners, which includes manufacturers, suppliers, and leading research centers in the Motor Valley. Companies such as Lamborghini, Ferrari, Ducati, Dallara, Pagani, and numerous other technical partners actively contribute to the design and development of the training activities. Through joint laboratories, project work, technical visits, internships, and company–based theses, students gain direct exposure to research and development processes, promoting the attraction, growth, and retention of highly skilled talent in the region.
