Master in Electric Vehicle Engineering – MUNER

Motorvehicle University of Emilia-Romagna (MUNER)

MUNER – Motorvehicle University of Emilia Romagna, is the result of synergy and connection between four Italian universities, renowned for their excellence in training, and companies of the Motor Valley, which represent the excellence of Made in Italy in the world.

Founded in 2017, MUNER has always been strongly supported by the Emilia-Romagna Region. Since its launch in 2017, MUNER and its partners have designed and are delivering 3 high-level master’s degree courses, divided into 9 different curricula, serving more than 700 students.

Offered in a professional and innovative environment, with access to cutting-edge technology and world-class professionals, each of these programs is driven by a learning-by-doing approach.

The master’s degree programmes offered by MUNER are:

  • Advanced Automotive Engineering
  • Electric Vehicle Engineering
  • Electronic Engineering for Intelligent Vehicles

The Master in Electric Vehicle Engineering (EVE) is an international course that offers a thorough knowledge of devices for converting electrical energy and their integration into electric vehicles. The programme aims to train experts in the design of electric powertrain components and the development of drive systems for a wide range of battery electric vehicles (BEV – Battery Electric Vehicles), from sports cars to heavy duty vehicles.

Graduates of the EVE course will be able to design and develop the main components of an electric drive system: batteries, electric motors, vehicle energy management systems, power electronics, battery chargers and on-board power supply systems. By the end of the course, students will have acquired skills in energy, electrical, communication and control systems used in electric vehicles. The course is administered by the University of Bologna and lectures are held at the Department of Electrical, Electronic and Information Engineering “Guglielmo Marconi” in the same city.
