Lamborghini supports Siare in the production of lung simulators

Lamborghini has been working for some time to help Italy in the protected health emergency of Coronavirus. The Sant’Agata Bolognese Brand was one of the first to take action for the creation of masks and now the R&D (research and development) department makes its resources available to increase aid. The manufacturer has in fact decided to support SIARE Engineering International Group, the main national manufacturer of lung respirators, designing and building (thanks to 3D printing technology) lung simulators.

These instruments provide the inspector with a first estimate of the proper functioning of the lung respirators before they arrive at the final test, where they will complete checks with certified instruments. In just two weeks Lamborghini, in its 3D printing laboratory, was able to design, produce and validate the simulators, optimizing the components and allowing the production of 18 pieces per week, in conjunction with the production of medical visors in polycarbonate, always with 3D printing.

The collaborative ability of two companies in the Emilia region, technologically at the top of their respective sectors, even if completely different, is further proof of how the world of the car, today, is able to adapt quickly to new challenges, providing a sensitive contribution in difficult and unexpected situations like this.
