From May 16 to 18, Cavallino Classic returns to Modena — a Concorso d’Eleganza created to celebrate the place where the Ferrari legend and history began. The event is defined by an uncompromising pursuit of excellence, featuring the same prestigious judging panel as Palm Beach and an almost obsessive level of detail in selecting the vehicles, which are admitted only if they fully embody the spirit and legacy of the Maranello-based marque.
Guided by one of Enzo Ferrari’s core principles — to innovate, seize opportunities, and always look ahead — Cavallino Inc. President and CEO Luigi Orlandini has launched a collaboration with world-renowned chef Massimo Bottura, choosing the stunning 19th-century setting of Casa Maria Luigia as the event’s official venue. Now the home of Bottura and his wife Lara Gilmore, Casa Maria Luigia is also one of the most refined and celebrated destinations in Italian hospitality. The result is a celebration that is both intimate and extraordinary, where art, culture, and local flavors intertwine with the legendary heritage of the Prancing Horse.
On Saturday, May 17, following the welcome ceremony and vehicle placement scheduled for Friday, the judging sessions will take place. In the early afternoon, the cars will parade through the historic center of Modena, arriving at the Enzo Ferrari Birthplace Museum, where they will be on display in the courtyard from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM. In the evening, back at Casa Maria Luigia, Massimo Bottura, Luigi Orlandini, and Enzo Mattioli Ferrari — direct descendant of Enzo Ferrari — along with Ferrari executives, will announce the winners and present the prestigious Platinum Awards and Best of Show trophies.
The event will conclude on Sunday, May 18 with a scenic parade along the historic Ferrari test-driver roads, leading guests to Casa Canossa, where a Michelin-starred lunch inspired by the culinary tradition of Emilia-Romagna awaits.
The 2025 edition will not only showcase iconic Ferrari models from every era, but will also mark a key milestone in the brand’s history: the 50th anniversary of the Ferrari 308 GTB — the first Ferrari produced in several thousand units and the first road-going V8 model built in Maranello.
