Race season opening at Autodromo Riccardo Paletti
In Varano de 'Melegari the two-wheeled racing season starts again: on the weekend of the 7 and 8 April, at the" Riccardo Paletti "racetrack, the 2018 edition of the Varano Cup will be held, the unique test trophy organized by the Moto Club Varano, as well as the Valceno Cup scheduled for October.
The challenge on the Parma circuit, part of the Motor Valley that unites Italian motor excellence, opens its doors to a large number of models divided into 125 Open, 600 Open, 1000, Naked and ProRace classes. Tires and fuel are free for all members.
The lineup of the event includes double free practice from 15 minutes on Saturday morning, except for the 125 Open which will be reserved for a single round, to prepare for the qualifying sessions (Q1 and Q2) that will determine the starting grid of the races that will play Sunday afternoon. It will begin at 14:40 with 12 laps and will be combined with 600 Open, ProRace 600 and Naked, which will follow 1000 SuperOpen with ProRace 1000 at 15:30. It will close with the 125 Open at 5.30 pm, on the shortest distance of ten laps.
Enhancing what's on offer during the weekend there will also be the inaugural appointment of the Battle of the Twins championship, reserved for the beloved twin-cylinder, as well as the North group of Malossi Trophies, with the classes ScooterMatic, T-Max, SprintMatic and SuperScooter.
