Seventy years of innovation, emotion, and speed: to celebrate this milestone, Yamaha has chosen the Riccardo Paletti Circuit in Varano de’ Melegari, in the heart of the Motor Valley. On Saturday, June 21, the Yamaha Spirit of Challenge will take place — an event open to the public starting at 9:00 AM.
It promises to be a thrilling day, designed to showcase the Yamaha world in all its facets: from the brand’s history to the present of racing, including community, riding experiences, and entertainment. A true journey through the values that have shaped the Japanese company — innovation, excitement, trust, emotion, and connections.
Each area of the circuit will be dedicated to one of these themes. Visitors will find interactive spaces like the game zone, kids’ activities with the Junior Motor School, a female-focused area by Girl Full Power, and a section dedicated to electric mobility.
Special guests will include true legends of motorcycling such as Giacomo Agostini, Stefan Everts, and Franco Picco, alongside current stars like Andrea Locatelli, Stefano Manzi, Dominique Aegerter, and Alessandro Botturi. Fans will have the chance to meet them and visit the Yamaha team Hospitality Truck from the WorldSBK and MXGP championships.
At 1:00 PM, a major parade will take to the track featuring some of Yamaha’s most iconic models. Afterwards, the MotoGP Sprint Race from the Mugello Grand Prix will be screened, giving everyone a chance to enjoy a live slice of the MotoGP weekend.
Throughout the day, visitors can also try nine different riding experiences — on track, off-road, with sporty scooters, and road bikes. The event will be energized by the music and charisma of Ringo and Alteria from Virgin Radio, who will host interviews, DJ sets, and live entertainment.
Rounding out the celebration are two special initiatives: a prize contest offering the chance to win a Yamaha XSR900 GP, and the launch of a brand-new Panini sticker album entirely dedicated to Yamaha’s history — drawing inspiration from the Japanese concept of Kando, the deep satisfaction and excitement felt when encountering something of exceptional quality and performance.
An unmissable event for all two-wheel enthusiasts — packed with adrenaline, fun, and a celebration of a brand that has made (and continues to make) its mark at Varano de’ Melegari, a legendary circuit of the Motor Valley.
