The Bugatti Automobili Campogalliano APS Association is a non-profit historical and cultural organization, founded by the Pavesi family — who were the custodians of the historic Bugatti factory in Campogalliano for over 30 years — together with former employees, local entrepreneurs, and enthusiasts.
The association’s mission is to preserve, tell, and enhance the extraordinary journey of Bugatti Automobili in Campogalliano, which operated from 1987 to 1995, and to generally support any automotive activity within the Motor Valley. With passion, respect, and dedication, the Bugatti Automobili Campogalliano APS Association continues to keep alive a dream that marked an unforgettable era.
The first event organized by the association was also the last possible one within the historic factory: in 2021, to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Bugatti EB110, a unique exhibition was held within those legendary walls, attracting over 800 people and showcasing 10 EB110 models from across Europe (out of only 139 ever built). Unfortunately, shortly after, both the custodians and the association were forced to leave the facility and its care, following a disagreement with the new ownership, who intended to make significant changes to the structure, effectively erasing the historical memory still present inside. Today, the historic factory is in a state of complete abandonment and has suffered severe vandalism.
In 2022, the association launched new activities within the Motor Valley, making its debut at the Motor Valley Fest and officially bringing the name “Bugatti” back to the heart of the motorsports region.
In 2023, the collaboration with Motor Valley continued with the exhibition of the extremely rare Bugatti EB112 at the Motor Valley in Modena: a futuristic super-sport sedan concept, produced in only three units, with a design by Giorgetto Giugiaro. The displayed example was the original one presented at the Geneva Motor Show in 1993, which had not been publicly visible in Modena or nearby since 1995.
In 2024, during the Motor Valley Fest, the association curated an exhibition dedicated to the technical development of the Bugatti EB110, displaying the chassis and two complete engines: the first prototype still equipped with carburetors and the final version with four turbochargers.
In 2025, the Bugatti Automobili Campogalliano APS Association officially became part of Motor Valley Development, the organization that brings together the leading brands and associations of the Motor Valley, further solidifying its commitment to keeping the memory of Bugatti Campogalliano alive as an integral part of this automotive excellence.
In addition to its exhibition and event activities, the association supports students, car owners, enthusiasts, institutions, and researchers in study and historical research projects on Bugatti Automobili of Campogalliano. To date, the association has contributed to the creation of 3 books and 6 university theses, and has also supported historical research for the production of a documentary as part of a thesis project at NABA Milan.
A valuable asset preserved by the association is its historical archive, which includes over 4,000 items such as administrative documents, research and development materials, human resources records, factory plans, technical drawings, photographs, memorabilia, prototype components, and much more—directly from the active years of Bugatti in Campogalliano and from the following decades, during which the Pavesi family cared for the facility.
These materials come from the Pavesi/Dondi family, various former employees and collectors who entrusted the association with their items, as well as from private donors, all united by a common goal: to enrich and protect the historical memory of Campogalliano.
