Collezione Villa Italia
The Villa Italia Collection is the private museum of the Neri family and is managed by the a.s.d. Macchine Veloci, which aims to spread knowledge of the work of Francesco Villa and Moto Villa.
Since 2019, the collection has been housed in a characteristic rural building on the Po Valley, in a particularly cosy and refined environment that exclusively collects official, mostly one-off specimens, both speed and off-road cross and regularity, as well as prototypes and memorabilia, concerning Francesco Villa and Moto Villa.
Many of the motorbikes in the collection are in pristine condition and all are in working order and documented, features that make the Villa Italia Collection the most complete and prestigious collection concerning Francesco Villa and Moto Villa.
The Collection
The Collection is made up of two rooms, the Hall of Speed and the Hall of Off-Road Vehicles.
Our treasure
The motorcycles are displayed in chronological order and retrace the entire activity carried out by Francesco Villa as a manufacturer, from 1968 to 1986.
Among the speed motorcycles it is possible to admire the 1968 Moto Villa 125 PR that belonged to Walter Villa, the 250 PR that was driven by Walter Villa and Otello Buscherini, the 50 Junior of Romano Villa, an official 125 TT4 and the beautiful and very rare Supermono.
Among the off-road motorcycles you can admire the Moto Villa 125 from 1969 with a Franco Morini engine, the powerful 450 CR from 1973 which was ridden by Italo Forni, the 250 CR from 1975 brought to the race by Giuseppe Fazioli, the 250 LG which allowed Franco Contini to win the Italian 250 Cadet Championship in 1977, the very fast 410 MX that allowed Franco Picco the daring victory of the Italian 500 Senior Championship in 1978, the magnificent 250MC with which Giancarlo Falappa took part in the World Championship in 1983, the fantastic 495 MC with which Toni Elias Senior won races and titles in the Iberian and Portuguese championships and many others.
