Argo Tractors
Argo Tractors is an important industrial Group family owned that designs, produces and markets tractors, services and parts worldwide, which encompass a technological portfolio of brands that have set important milestones in agricultural mechanization. It brings together two famous names in the tractor world: Landini, McCormick and Valpadana. Argo Tractors SpA, based in Fabbrico (RE), in the heart of the Motor Valley, was set up with the aim of creating a tractor hub of global standing. The setting is also where Landini was established in 1884; a glorious and historic Italian tractor brand that has contributed to the continual innovation and mechanisation of agricultural vehicles across the world.

It is possible to enjoy a close-up look at the assembly of Landini and McCormick tractors: the facility at Fabbrico (RE), is the group’s biggest at 132,000m², 60,000m² of which is covered. The plant is built around Landini’s historic factory.
Where we are
Production of Argo Tractors takes place at 5 facilities in Italy, in the heart of the ‘Motor Valley’. Landini, McCormick and Valpadana tractors are built at Fabbrico, San Martino in Rio and Luzzara, in the province of Reggio Emilia. Argo Tractors also has, at San Martino in Rio, a modern and efficient spare parts centre serving Italy and overseas.
Argo Tractors has a global presence with 11 commercial offices and 130 importers. In Italy, the brand’s distribution network is nationwide with 170 dealerships offering competence and professionalism.
Three international brands
Landini
Landini is the glorious Italian brand that has, since 1884, designed and built an extensive range of efficient, high-performing tractors that are appreciated across the world. Reliability, intuitive use, technology that is always updated and competent customer service make Landini tractors the perfect solution for all working, company and specialist needs.
McCormick
McCormick, with its class-leading tractors in terms of technology, comfort and safety and backed by its American origins, is the point of reference for high-performance products able to meet the most demanding ‘global performance’.
Valpadana
Valpadana is a brand dedicated entirely to specialist tractors. Its ultra-compact tractors boast all the technology needed for the highest levels of efficiency, safety and comfort for those working in reduced spaces and steep areas.
Test track
A test track has been built at the Shipping Terminal in Fabbrico. It is 55,000 m² and means that tractors can be tested to a level of precision, reliability and in safety, conforming to the highest production standards of the new product ranges.
Xtractor
49 days to complete the Xtractor expedition, a journey around South Africa in four McCormick X8 and X7 series tractors. This expedition aimed to discover nature and carry a message of friendship and humanity.
The docu-reality began in Cape Town and ended in Pretoria on 20 May 2018. The caravan of four tractors covered almost 8,000 kilometres across desert, the savana and its magnificent animals, the coastline and the stunning Dragon Mountain. As well as being an adventure voyage, the expedition made a solid contribution to the South African community.
Led by volunteers from the Carabinieri and at a top speed of 50 km/h, the explorers crossed the Kalahari desert and ventured into the immense Kruger national park, catching sight of leopards, lions and rare rhynos.
