Cavallino Classic 2025: a record-breaking edition

The fifth edition of Cavallino Classic in Modena came to a close with record-breaking numbers. Held from May 16 to 18 in the splendid setting of Casa Maria Luigia, the residence of chef Massimo Bottura, the event once again proved to be one of a kind — where the excellence of Ferrari automobiles meets the art of Italian hospitality.

Among this year’s showstoppers, three exceptional models took home the top honors:

  • The 1954 Ferrari 250 Monza #0442M, owned by Giuseppe Prevosti, in its iconic Carrera Panamericana-inspired livery, was awarded Best of Show Competition.

  • The 1960 250 GT Pinin Farina Cabriolet #2381, restored by Bacchelli & Villa in a refined combination of Metallic Fir Green and beige leather, won Best of Show Gran Turismo.

  • The 1966 275 GTB4 “long nose” with three carburetors, chassis #09021—first sold and unveiled at the Paris Motor Show—claimed Best of Show Ferrari Classiche Certified.

Luigi Orlandini, Chairman & CEO of Cavallino Inc., proudly highlighted how this edition surpassed all expectations. In front of a select international audience and with the presence of Piero Ferrari and his grandson Enzo Mattioli Ferrari, Orlandini celebrated the exceptional quality of the cars on display, the meticulous attention to detail, and the timeless atmosphere of the land where the legend began.

The event kicked off on Friday with a welcome evening curated by Bottura, featuring gastronomic specialties and live music by Alessandro Ristori’s band, which transported guests back to the golden age of the Prancing Horse. On Saturday, while the international jury evaluated the cars, guests enjoyed an immersive experience rich in conviviality, taste, and shared passion.

The weekend wrapped up with the awards ceremony and a gala dinner curated by the three-Michelin-starred Osteria Francescana. The beloved Parade through the streets of Modena was also back, drawing enthusiastic crowds, followed by a visit to the MEF – Museo Enzo Ferrari, offering a deep dive into the history of the legend.

Adding to the experience were several exceptional partners: RM Sotheby’s as Presenting Sponsor, Riva with a restored Aquarama Special, Bang & Olufsen providing the event’s soundtrack, Azimut – Automobile Heritage Enhancement, and Moët & Chandon with its refined sparkling wines.

With its fifth edition, Cavallino Classic cements its place as one of the most elegant events in the Motor Valley — a format that blends elegance, history, and automotive culture, capable of captivating collectors, experts, and enthusiasts from around the world.
