MotoGP: Ducati and Pecco Bagnaia triumph in Qatar
Taking the first place in the Qatar GP was the Ducati Lenovo Team thanks to defending champion Francesco Bagnaia. Fifth place instead for Enea Bastianini, who declared himself "half satisfied."
Bagnaia's race was flawless, from start to finish: starting from the grid in fifth position, at the first braking he was already third, after a few corners the conquest of the first position that he was able to hold undisturbed until the conclusion, with a lead of one second and three tenths on the second classified. Thanks to this victory Pecco, with 31 points, is first in the drivers' standings.
Bastianini, on the other hand, had a bit of a difficult start, in the first few laps in fact he lost a few positions, towards the end, however, the recovery and the overtaking of Márquez that earned him fifth position. In the riders' classification he also ranks fifth.
An excellent job by both riders, as Luigi dall'Igna, Ducati Corse General Manager, said. The team is already back to work, loaded for the next race, which will be March 22-24 at the Autódromo Internacional do Algarve in Portimão for the Portuguese Grand Prix.
