A brand new Lamborghini Huracan Evo for the Bologna airport

“Welcome to Bologna, welcome to Italy”. Bologna airport has a new Follow Me Car, it’s a Lamborghini Huracan Evo with a special livery created by the Lamborghini Centro Stile that sports the colors of the Italian flag, with the back characterized by a checkered pattern, typical of the cars “Follow Me” and reference to the world of racing.

This is a well-established tradition that has seen Lamborghini engaged in this type of operation for years, always with its own cars powered by the V10 engine, in particular the Huracan that has been carrying out this task continuously for years, in different versions and with liveries from time to time always different and particular.

Born in 2014, the Huracan is one of the best-selling Lamborghini of all time, with more than 14,000 units produced between the first generation and the Huracan Evo (presented in 2019 and always moved by the classic V10). A record, however, destined to be surpassed in a few months by Urus, the first SUV of Sant’Agata, sold in 10,000 units in just 2 years.

Dovizioso, a deserved third place

Andrea Dovizioso sent a strong message this weekend to Jerez de la Frontera. A difficult weekend, with many difficulties to adapt his Ducati to the new Michelin rear tire, also thanks to the great heat. Still, the Forlì team came out on top, conquering a place on the podium that until a couple of laps from the end did not seem an achievable goal.

The Ducati rider later underlined the great physical work done to recover from the clavicle operation just a few weeks earlier, but also that done in the box together with the team guys.

“We can certainly improve our performance, because at this moment we lack the speed, which is what it takes to implement a certain type of strategy. Let’s say that when Marc came to pick me up, seeing the speed he had was a little disarming. “.

Danilo Petrucci instead, despite not being fully fit after the recent crash, ended the difficult weekend by getting a ninth place. At the end of the first Grand Prix of the 2020 MotoGP season, Ducati is in second position in the constructors’ classification, while the Ducati Team is second in the classification reserved for teams.

Maserati Ghibli Hybrid

The Maserati Ghibli is renewed and integrates into the MY 2021 price list a new 4-cylinder turbo petrol 2.0 engine with 330 HP. It is a hybrid engine that takes the place of the 3.0 V6 turbo diesel and which is expected to arrive by the end of 2020. The project was developed by the Maserati Innovation Lab of Modena with the aim of limiting emissions, while achieving the performance expects from a Maserati, maintaining the perfect weight balance.

The engine is equipped with an electric compressor to support the thrust of the exhaust gas turbocharger. The electrification aims to eliminate response delays on the accelerator. The whole system is powered at 48V by a lithium-ion battery with 500 Wh (or 0.5 kWh) capacity, fixed to the rear area of the body. The sizing of this component took into account the need to keep the weight increase low (80 kg less than the Ghibli Diesel), to the benefit of the driving dynamics expected from a Maserati.

Aesthetically, the Maserati Ghibli model year 2021 (produced in the Grugliasco plant) is recognized for a new radiator grille with tuning fork elements. The new style wants to underline how the new hybrid engine wants to respect the great tradition of the brand when it comes to engine sound. So much so that the same tuning fork is also taken up in other style details of the car, while the anodized blue is a new distinctive element of the brake calipers and of the details on the mudguard and rear pillar.

The rear lights are also new, with a luminous signature inspired by the Maserati Alfieri and the boomerang design of the Giugiaro 3200 GT model, while inside the most important work has been done on the renewal of the ecosystem on which the infotainment is based, which is now based on the Android Automotive system with a 10-inch screen.

Lamborghini “With Italy, For Italy”

Italy restarts and wants to leave behind the bad experience of the coronavirus lockdown. Even the car in recent months has made its contribution, lighting its seats with the Tricolor or producing lung fans. And it continues to do so, sending strong messages of hope to Italians, who have always been lovers and inventors of cars. This is the case of Lamborghini, a symbol of excellence in the Motor Valley.

The project conceived is called “With Italy, For Italy” and involves 20 selected artists who from September will connect the 20 regions of Italy from North to South through as many images where Italian supercars will appear. An initiative that also involves Letizia Battaglia, a well-known internationally renowned photographer who will talk about her Palermo together with the Aventador SVJ.

“This is our act of love and gratitude for our country – says Katia Bassi, Chief Marketing & Communication Officer of Automobili Lamborghini -. An initiative that represents a manifesto of quality, excellence and value that only Italy can synthesize “.

What cars will we see in the shots? To begin with the Sián Roadster, but also other protagonists of the current range, such as the Aventador SVJ, and of course the Urus and the Huracán, in the versions with four-wheel drive and rear, coupé and spyder. Last but not least there will be the historical icons of the Taurus: Miura, Countach and Diablo.

Lamborghini Sian Roadster

The full name is Lamborghini Sian Roadster and it is the most powerful Lambo spider in history. This is thanks to the 819 HP of its hybrid system capable of accelerating it from 0 to 100 km/h in less than 2.9 “, to reach 350 km/h of maximum speed.

This is the same powetrain as the Sian coupé, where alongside the naturally aspirated V12 – derived from the Aventador – brought to 765 HP there is a 34 HP electric motor powered by a 48V network that does without classic lithium-ion batteries , preferring much more powerful (and lighter) supercapacitors.

Outside the Lamborghini Sián Roadster differs from the coupé by the absence of the roof, while the rest of the forms are absolutely identical. Shapes designed to ensure the best possible aerodynamics, with the air guided by the front splitters and the slit on the hood passes through the side vents and then exits above the rear spoiler.

Spoiler with variable geometry, able to open and close automatically according to speed, so as to crush the Toro roadster on the ground. Aerodynamics active as the cooling fins are also active, sensitive to the temperature variations generated by the exhaust and thus able to activate themselves completely autonomously. All 19 specimens produced have already been sold.
