Italjet was founded in 1959 by Leopoldo Tartarini, a motorcycle racer with a glorious palmares, such as victory in the Milan-Taranto and many other road races, up to an adventurous motorcycle tour around the world between 1957 and 1958.
At the end of his racing career he gave life to his dream of creating and producing motorcycles with a unique and innovative stylistic content and, at the same time, with innovative and refined mechanical characteristics. Worthy of mention is the Pack 2 model which is on permanent display at the MoMA in New York, and the Formula 50 at the “The Art of Motorcycle” exhibition at the Guggenheim Museum in New York.
Italjet designs and builds innovative motorcycles made with care and artisan quality and with an obsession for details.
A true Italian excellence for an exclusive personality.
To date, production is dedicated to the iconic Dragster, a motorcycle that expresses an innovative and sophisticated design with unique technical solutions, first and foremost the front single arm.
The Italjet style and design center in Castel Guelfo in Bologna is working on the Dragster 500GP, presented as a concept at Eicma 2022 and which represents an even more extreme innovation in terms of design and mechanical solutions.
