Vice President Group Government Relations and Public Affairs for Italy.

After a brief stint in the Personnel Department of ALITALIA, he began his professional career at the SAATCHI & SAATCHI ADVERTISING agency where, between 1982 and 1989, he held positions of increasing responsibility.

In January 1990 he moved to FORD ITALIA, assuming in rapid succession the roles of External Relations Director, Marketing Director and Center-South Sales Director. After an experience in Athens as President and Managing Director of FORD GREECE, he joined TOYOTA MOTOR ITALIA in July 1997, first as Sales Director, then as Vice President and later as Managing Director.

In April 2008 he moved to TOYOTA MOTOR EUROPE in Brussels as Vice President After Sales, with responsibility for After Sales, Logistics, Parts and Customer Satisfaction for all of Europe. In 2009, he joined VOLKSWAGEN GROUP ITALIA S.P.A. as Volkswagen Brand Director.

From July 2012 to July 2021 he was the Managing Director of Volkswagen Group Italia, which represents the Volkswagen, Audi, SEAT, CUPRA, ŠKODA and Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles brands in the country. From April 2013 to April 2017, he served as President of UNRAE - UNIONE NAZIONALE RAPPRESENTANTI AUTOVEICOLI ESTERI.

Since August 1, 2021, he has been Vice President Group Government Relations and Public Affairs for Italy, a function created ad hoc to optimally manage the transition and foster ongoing dialogue with politics and institutions.
In March 2022, he was appointed president of MOTUS-E, an association that aims to accelerate the change toward electric mobility in Italy through a constant analysis of the situation in various areas-from technological to economic to regulatory-and the promotion of confrontation and collaboration among all the players involved.

Born in Chivasso in 1958, Massimo Nordio graduated in 1983 with a degree in Economics from LUISS University in Rome.
He is married and has 3 children.
