Giovanni Blandina

In 2013, Giovanni Blandina founded Easyrain, a startup with a mission to save lives through the development of innovative systems to improve the safety of cars, both conventional as well as self-driving and autonomous, in low-grip situations.

With Easyrain, he developed and patented the Aquaplaning Intelligent Solution (AIS), the first active safety system to counter the phenomenon of aquaplaning, and the Digital Advanced Information (DAI), an innovative virtual sensor platform for safety and efficiency: the DAI enables predictive safety by implementing different features in the self-driving car including calibration of ADAS and autonomous driving in low-grip conditions.

The new challenge is AIS-2, an active safety system capable of restore grip not only in case of aquaplaning, but also in case of loss of grip on
ice and snow. All to make self-driving cars extremely safe even in the most difficult conditions.

Giovanni Blandina has gained deep experience in the fields of R&D, testing and start- up. He is a mentor at I3P, an incubator of the Polytechnic of Turin, and Motor Valley Accelerator.

He holds the position of CEO in Easyrain, and in parallel he follows several start-ups on their path of birth and acceleration.
