A documentary directed by Asif Kapadia that explores the life and work of three-time world champion Ayrton Senna through his decade-long career as a Formula 1 driver: his physical and spiritual achievements on the track, his quest for perfection and the mythical status he has since attained. Much more than just a film for F1 fans, SENNA tells an extraordinary story in an extraordinary way, eschewing many standard documentary techniques in favour of a more cinematic approach that makes full use of astonishing footage, much of which is taken from the F1 archives and never seen before.
