Marko Bertogna

Marko Bertogna is Full Professor at the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia, where he directs the High-Performance Real-Time (HiPeRT) laboratory. His main research interests are in High-Performance Real-Time, many-core embedded systems, particularly for autonomous driving and industrial automation applications. Previously, he was a Research Fellow at the Scuola Superiore Sant'Anna in Pisa, working at the Real-Time Systems Lab since 2003. He graduated with honors in Telecommunications Engineering from the University of Bologna in 2002. From 2001 to 2002, he worked on integrated optical devices at the Technical University of Delft, The Netherlands. In 2006, he visited the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, working on real-time systems. In 2008, he received a Ph.D. degree in Computer Science from the Scuola Superiore Sant'Anna in Pisa, Italy. He has authored more than 100 papers in the field of multiprocessor programming and real-time systems. He has received several Best Paper Awards in top-ranked international journals and conferences. He has been coordinator of several European and industrial projects. He has obtained over 15MEuro in funding for his research group since 2013. He is CEO and founder of the university spinoff HiPeRT Srl, and co-founder of Minerva Srl.
