Born in 1990 in Castel San Pietro Terme and raised in Imola, he has an educational background as a surveyor, a degree in Economics from the University of Bologna, and a Master’s degree from Sole 24 Ore Business School. Active from a young age in local politics, he was elected to the City Council in 2013 and 2018, later serving as Democratic Party group leader and Secretary of the Democratic Party for the Imola Territorial Union. 

Since 2020, he has served as Mayor of Imola, as well as President of the Nuovo Circondario Imolese, Deputy Mayor of the Metropolitan City of Bologna and, since 2024, President of ANCI Emilia-Romagna.
