Enrico Loccioni

Loccioni, President

Enrico Loccioni was born in 1949 in the inland area of Ancona, into a farming family. In 1968, together with his wife Graziella Rebichini, he started from scratch with a small electrical systems business. Working on projects for major industrial companies, he soon embraced the challenge of total quality and became the first in the world to develop automatic systems for the control of industrial products and processes.

From the very beginning, his model was that of a knowledge-based enterprise, which has grown over the years thanks to management expertise, innovation and internationalisation, while always remaining closely connected to its local area.

Together with his children Maria Cristina and Claudio, he now leads the company that bears his name, a world leader in measurement and automation for quality control and sustainability. Its clients are leading companies in their markets, ranging from automotive to household appliances, from aerospace to energy, from medical to agri-food. With installations in over 40 countries worldwide and offices in America, Germany and Asia, Loccioni’s mission is to measure in order to improve the well-being of people and the planet, taking on innovative challenges that create jobs and cultural development.

At Loccioni, people are the greatest value. From the very beginning, the relationship with schools of all levels has been cultivated and continuously renewed. Schools are a source of ideas and people, while the company acts as a real-world laboratory for schools and universities, training young talents and future entrepreneurs.

For Enrico Loccioni, “there is no enterprise without territory, and there is no territory without enterprise.” For this reason, he imagines and develops projects for the future, anticipating the goals of the ecological transition.
Among these is the Leaf Community, Italy’s first eco-sustainable micro-grid: a smart electricity network that powers Loccioni laboratories using renewable energy sources. “2km di futuro®” is a project for the redevelopment and safety improvement of a stretch of the Esino River adjacent to Loccioni’s sites, transforming it from a threat into a source of energy and beauty. The Valle di San Clemente is a public-private Rural Innovation project aimed at revitalising an entire valley close to the company through regenerative agriculture, technological innovation and a network of people.

Among the many awards and recognitions he has received, Enrico Loccioni was awarded an honorary degree in Innovation Technologies by the University of Camerino, the Ernst & Young “Entrepreneur of the Year” Award, the Environment-Friendly Innovation Award, the Olivettian Entrepreneur Award, the National Innovation Award, and the title of Cavaliere del Lavoro of the Italian Republic.
