In Modena, medium-sized cities of art come together to discuss the outlook for a kind of tourism that is increasingly rewarding destinations less famous than the well-known Rome, Venice, Florence, Naples and Milan.
This is a demanding form of tourism, seeking quality hospitality and experiential visits. These visitors certainly appreciate museums, UNESCO sites, cultural events and exhibitions, as well as authentic, high-quality cuisine closely linked to the local area.
The number of foreign visitors to the city of Modena is growing significantly, with longer stays than in the past.
The Forum on Cities of Art and Culture will be attended by the mayors of Parma, Savona, Ravenna and Verona, who will take part in a round table with the Mayor of Modena, Massimo Mezzetti.
University professors and industry experts will address a range of topics: culture as a driver of development, digitalisation and artificial intelligence, mobility in the development of tourism, the sustainability of cultural events, and finally, an unmissable discussion on the theme “Motors, flavours and territorial identity: the Modena case”, led by Ettore Tazzioli.
The Forum, organised by Economia Pulita srl and Mauro Battaglia’s Visionup, will take place at the Modena Chamber of Commerce on 29 May at 10:00 a.m., with the patronage of the Municipality of Modena, the Chamber of Commerce and Fondazione di Modena.
