Virginia Bassano is a Principal at Italian Founders Fund (IFF), a Milan-based venture fund investing from pre-seed to Series A in companies with an Italian angle. Backed by 150+ LPs from Bending Spoons, Scalapay, and Faire, IFF has deployed capital into 30+ companies across Europe and the US. Virginia joined in 2025 focusing on Series A investments. 

Before IFF, she spent five years at Eight Roads ($11bn AUM), backing B2B SaaS, FinTech, and TravelTech companies across Southern Europe and the UK, with investments including Amenitiz, Easol, and Swan. Prior to that, she was part of Citigroup’s Investment Banking team covering FinTech. Virginia is also a former founder: in 2018 she co-founded Dailyinternship, an HR-tech platform that grew to 100,000+ students and 300 client companies across Europe.
