Pierluigi Zampieri 

R&D Vehicle Director, Ducati

Pierluigi Zampieri is R&D Vehicle Director at Ducati Motor Holding, where for over 6 years he has been leading the development of vehicles across the whole model range.
Graduated in Mechanical Engineering, he has over twenty years of experience in the automotive and motorsport sectors, working both on production vehicle development and racing applications.
He joined Ducati in 2002, initially covering several roles within R&D and Racing department. He later took on the role of Innovation Manager, contributing to the development of innovative solutions and coordinating activities with universities and research centers, while also supporting the company’s long-term strategic initiatives. He further enhanced his managerial skills by completing two Executive Master programs at Bologna Business School, one of which is currently ongoing.
Since 2020, he has held the position of R&D Vehicle Director, with responsibility for the development of Ducati models throughout their entire lifecycle, from concept to production.
His work combines strong engineering expertise with strategic vision in alignment with the brand’s values, and with a constant focus on innovation, contributing to shaping the technologies and products that will drive Ducati’s future evolution.
At the Motor Valley Fest, he will share his perspective on how Ducati aims to enhance its historical heritage on the occasion of the company’s centenary, while projecting its identity toward future challenges.
