Massimiliano De Masi holds a degree in Management Engineering from the University “La Sapienza” with a specialization in Production Management and Logistics. He furthered his education with a Master’s in Energy Business and later in Sustainable Mobility and Transport.
With over fifteen years of experience in the logistics and transport sector at Poste Italiane, in 2018 he was appointed Head of Transport Engineering, overseeing the design, planning, and procurement processes for both the transport networks and the operational fleet of Poste Italiane.
He is currently the Head of Innovation for Operating Models, where he ensures the identification of innovation opportunities for mail and parcel logistics processes and technologies. This is achieved through Open Innovation approaches and benchmarking of technological trends at national and international levels. He also coordinates pilot projects (PoCs), and the development of strategic partnerships and/or M&A operations with startups.
He serves as Poste Italiane’s board representative in the Freight Leaders Council and led the launch of the “Mobility & Logistics” thematic area within Federated Innovation @ MIND. He is also responsible for implementing Poste Italiane’s R&D programs within MoSt – the Italian National Centre for Sustainable Mobility.
