Marco Palmerini graduated in Mechanical Engineering from “La Sapienza” University of Rome, specializing in land vehicles. A Vehicle Development Manager with more than twenty years of experience in road racing, he has been with Ducati Motor Holding since 2010, where he is now responsible for the development and assembly of MotoGP, SBK, and MotoE vehicles, as well as the coordination of the MotoGP and SBK test teams. He works daily between headquarters and the racetrack, in close contact with test riders and official riders. 
Over the course of his career, he has also coordinated a project for the Piaggio Group (Derbi 125cc) and actively participated in the Aprilia Racing 125cc and 250cc projects.
