Giovanni Delfino grew up in Arese and holds a degree in Mechanical
Engineering. He began his professional career as a powertrain engineer at
Alfa Romeo, Alfa Corse and N. Technology, where he was responsible for
the development of racing engines. During this time, he established his first
connection with ATM – Autotecnica Motori.
In 2008, together with Renzo Federici, he invested in ATM – Autotecnica Motori,
acquiring a majority stake and assuming the role of CEO. He subsequently launched a
comprehensive transformation and growth strategy that, over the years, has significantly increased
production capacity and enabled the company to expand into new projects. Under his leadership, ATM
evolved from a company focused on race engine preparation into a high-end engineering organization
capable of designing, developing and manufacturing complete powertrains entirely in-house, starting
from a blank sheet and a strong concept.
This transformation reached a key milestone in 2020, when—despite the challenges posed by the global
pandemic—ATM introduced its first fully in-house designed, developed and manufactured engine: a V6
available in both twin-turbocharged and naturally aspirated configurations. This achievement marked
the company’s entry into the FIA WEC and endurance racing at the highest level.
Following the integration of ATM, Tatuus and Breda Racing in 2018, Delfino was appointed CEO of the
Group. In May 2023, the Group’s majority stake was acquired by The Equity Club, while in 2025, after
the acquisitions of YCOM, Next Solution Technologies, Birelart, Kart Republic and IAME, the holding
was rebranded as Korus.
In his role as CEO, Delfino oversees and coordinates all Group companies, driving continuous growth,
international expansion, and the development of both organizational capabilities and infrastructure.
Since 2012, he has personally led the first expansion of the ATM HQ in Casalmaggiore, designing its
iconic glass façade. He also personally conceived and designed the Tatuus HQ, located on the border
between Lainate and Arese, on land that for decades hosted the historic Alfa Romeo production
facilities.
Across both facilities, Delfino’s vision is clearly reflected, with a strong emphasis on the use of glass as
a key architectural element to maximize natural light in all weather conditions, thereby enhancing the
overall workplace experience. This focus on employee well-being has always been a cornerstone of his
managerial philosophy
