After earning a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Polytechnic University of
Milan and completing his military service as an officer in the Alpine Troops, he joined the
Scuderia Ferrari team in 2001 as part of the Vehicle Dynamics group. After contributing to tire
development, he became a track engineer for the Test Team.
In 2008, he joined Pirelli Motorsport as trackside manager for circuit championships;
subsequently, he became part of the Core Team for Pirelli’s return to F1 as head of Virtual
Design.
His career at Pirelli has alternated between Motorsport and Road Products, effectively serving
as a bridge between racing and road technology. In fact, since 2014 he has been responsible
for Product Development for Prestige road customers; in 2016 he returned to Motorsport as
head of development for all competition products; In 2019, he returned to road products,
initially overseeing Premium customers and Virtual Development, before expanding his
responsibilities in 2020 to include the development of all four-wheeled road products.
Since March 2026, he has been leading Pirelli’s Motorsport Business Unit.
