Claudio Domenicali

CEO Ducati Motor Holding S.p.A.


Claudio Domenicali was born on November 3, 1965, in Bentivoglio, in the province of
Bologna (Italy).
He graduated in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Bologna and joined Ducati
in 1991, driven by a deep passion for mechanics. Since then, he has undertaken a path of
professional growth that has led him to hold positions of increasing responsibility within
the Company.
In 1999, he was appointed CEO of Ducati Corse, marking the first important step in his
managerial career. In 2005, he became Director of Product R&D at Ducati Motor Holding,
and in 2009, he was named General Manager of Operations and Product Development.
In 2013, following the acquisition of the Company by the Audi Group, he was appointed
Chief Executive Officer of Ducati Motor Holding.


Parallel to his role at Ducati, Claudio Domenicali holds several representative positions in
the Italian motor and industrial sectors.
In December 2019, he was nominated President of the Motor Valley Development
Association, a position confirmed for two additional terms in 2021 and 2023.
In November 2020, he became President of the Automotive Sector of Confindustria
Emilia-Romagna. Since December of the same year, he has served as Vice President for
the Motor Sector of Fondazione Altagamma, which brings together the leading brands of
Italy’s high-end cultural and creative industry.
In June 2025, he joined the ACEM (European Association of Motorcycle Manufacturers)
Board as Vice President of the organization.
A passionate sports and motorcycle enthusiast, with a deep love for racing, Claudio
Domenicali has always been Ducati’s number one fan.
