Christian Richter leads the GCAS automotive vertical at Google, incorporating a global team specialised in automotive retail online sales & marketing solutions.
He develops globally scalable advertising and sales solutions for CPG, tech and automotive clients, their franchised retailers, and their partner ecosystem of agencies, channel sales partners, system integrators, and consultancies. He also chairs an EMEA cross-functional steering committee for all Google functions working with the auto industry: Ads, Cloud, Android and Geo/Maps. As an internal leadership role, Christian is the executive sponsor for site identity & belonging for the entire Google Munich office.
Prior to joining Google in 2008, he worked 10 years at Booz Allen Hamilton’s European automotive and aerospace practice, with a functional expertise in sales, aftersales & marketing. In this role, he was deployed all across Europe, Middle East and the US. Christian earned his doctoral degree at the HHL Leipzig Graduate School of Management and his Business Degree at the University of Bayreuth. He speaks German, English, conversational French and basic Japanese.
Christian lives in Munich, Germany. In his spare time he loves to spend time with his wife and their Labrador retriever “Bella” in the mountains, and to hit the gym hard with powerlifting, kettlebell and calisthenics exercises.
