A selection of four-wheeled masterpieces celebrates the Motor Valley and ASI’s 60th anniversary at the heart of Motor Valley Fest 2026
The Circolo della Biella of Modena will present an exclusive selection of 30 classic cars in an event that will form a prestigious highlight of Motor Valley Fest 2026, the international festival taking place from 28 to 31 May to celebrate the automotive excellence of Emilia-Romagna.
A parade that tells decades of history: thirty cars, thirty stories. The selection curated by Circolo della Biella is designed as a journey through time, across the eras that made the automobile great worldwide.
Alongside symbols of Italian genius — Ferrari, Maserati, Lancia and Alfa Romeo — the event will also feature representatives of the European motoring tradition that has stood alongside the excellence of the Motor Valley: Porsche, Triumph, Jaguar and other brands that have marked entire eras in the history of world motoring.
Among the expected models are true icons belonging to the collective memory of enthusiasts:
– Ferrari 308 GTS — the quintessential Italian sports car of the 1970s, made immortal by pop culture
– Lancia Delta HF Integrale — undisputed queen of world rallying and a symbol of uncompromising engineering
– Alfa Romeo Duetto Spider — the elegance and sensuality of Pininfarina lines that captivated cinema and the collective imagination
– Fiat Balilla — a witness to the early days of Italian motorisation and an icon of the 1930s
Each car on display represents a special decade, a unique season in automotive culture and a chapter in the story that transformed Emilia-Romagna into the world’s most famous Motor Valley.
A tribute to the 60th anniversary of the Automotoclub Storico Italiano
The evening takes on an even deeper meaning as it is connected to the celebrations for the 60th anniversary of the Automotoclub Storico Italiano (ASI), the federation founded on 25 September 1966 from the union of the Veteran Car Club d’Italia and the Federazione Italiana Auto Moto d’Epoca. Today, ASI counts 345 federated clubs across Italy and represents over 300,000 enthusiasts, including collectors, restorers and lovers of historic motoring.
The Circolo della Biella of Modena has been linked to this story from the very beginning: it was among the first clubs to join ASI back in 1987, helping to build the associative network that would later make Italian historic motoring an excellence recognised around the world. Its presence in Piazza Roma is also an act of belonging and gratitude towards a federation that has protected, enhanced and passed on the cultural heritage of the Italian automobile to future generations.
The Circolo della Biella of Modena was founded in the 1930s as an informal group of enthusiasts gathered around the great drivers of the time — Nuvolari, Varzi, Fangio, Moss and Ascari — who frequented the city, then considered a true “little Indianapolis” of world motoring.
After the interruption caused by the war, the club was re-established, finding its beating heart in the small grandstand of the Modena Aerautodrome and in the lobby of the Albergo Reale, meeting places for drivers, constructors and enthusiasts.
With the closure of the Aerautodrome, the association slowly faded, until in 1987 a group of passionate members decided to bring it back to life. Since then, the Circolo della Biella has once again become one of the reference points for historic motoring in Modena, with decades of rallies, trophies and participation in major Italian and international events.
