Giorgio Marsiaj was born in Turin, where he graduated in Political Science with a specialisation in political-economic studies.
As the founder, president and managing director of SABELT S.p.A., he has successfully led the company to become a benchmark in the production of sports seats for high-end cars, seat belts, technical clothing for Motorsport and restraint systems for the Aerospace.
He has gained significant experience in companies and multinationals during his career. For 30 years (1985-2015), he was president and CEO of TRW Automotive Italia, a company with seven operating units and 1,600 employees in Italy, part of the TRW Automotive Group, which had a presence in 28 countries with 66,000 employees. 

He became shareholder and board member of Vittoria Assicurazioni and Fenera Holding. In addition, he was one of the founders of the private equity fund Charme.
From 2016 to 2020 he has been President of AMMA (Aziende Meccaniche Meccatroniche Associate) and from 2020 to 2024 he led the Consulta per la Valorizzazione dei Beni Artistici e Culturali di Torino, promoting initiatives for the protection and enhancement of the city’s heritage.

He is an active member of the Italian industrial association system, having served as Vice President of AMMA (2012-2016) and later as President (2016-2020). In 2020, he was elected President of the Unione Industriali di Torino, a position he held until 2024. In this role, he tackled global challenges and promoted innovation in the local production system.

In 2016, he was appointed Saggio di Confindustria for the identification of the Association’s President, and since 2016 he has been a member of Confindustria’s General Council, actively contributing to national strategies for industrial development. Since 2024, under the Orsini presidency, he has joined the President’s Council of Confindustria with the delegation for Aerospace, demonstrating his ongoing dedication to the growth and competitiveness of Italian industry.
