An Exciting Experience for Car and Model Enthusiasts
On the occasion of Motor Valley Fest 2025, the Modenamoremio Historic Center Merchants Association, with the patronage of the Municipality of Modena, presents an exhibition at the Ex Albergo Diurno in Piazza Mazzini, titled:
“130 Scale Models: An Educational Collection on the Automobile”, curated by Elis Sernesi.
The exhibition will be open from Thursday, June 5th until July 4th.

The exhibition features a collection of 1:43 scale models designed to tell the story of Enzo Ferrari and the cars he drove as a racing driver, led as a team manager, and eventually built as a manufacturer.
Owner Elis Sernesi, who has collected over the years all the Prancing Horse cars that raced in Formula 1 and beyond—starting with the 1917 Cesar, the first car driven by “Il Drake”, up to 2024—calls it an educational collection. Beyond its striking visual impact, the over 130 models, arranged like a starting grid, offer a clear chronological narrative, showing the evolution of the cars over time.
The 9-meter-long display case highlights and narrates the true motor racing history of Enzo Ferrari. A second display case showcases unique stories and curiosities about Ferrari himself, his team, and his cars—contributing to the creation of an unparalleled legend.

Through this collection, visitors can explore a variety of themes such as:
the evolution of car design and aerodynamics,
the study of materials,
different engineering and engine choices,
historical insights (including WWI and WWII),
the origins of the Ferrari logo,
the contributions of key technicians and drivers,
and Enzo Ferrari’s legacy in Modena.
The exhibition will also be enriched by four themed talks hosted by Elis Sernesi, a passionate collector and now also an expert on the topics presented
