The transition to electric mobility represents a true revolution for the national automotive sector, with profound implications both in terms of organization and production, as well as in the interdependencies between different segments of the supply chain. This shift requires a strategic rethinking of skills and a strengthening of training initiatives in order to support the evolution of the production system.
Starting from a mapping of the needs expressed at national and regional levels by supply chain stakeholders, the session aims to explore the connections between technological evolution and skills, and to reflect on the role of the secondary and tertiary education systems — with particular focus on professional training pathways, upskilling and reskilling activities — as key elements for the development and support of vehicle innovation.
This session is part of the activities of the project “Electric mobility, employment, and training: perspectives for the transition in the Motor Valley,” supported and funded by the Fondazione di Modena. The project partnership includes the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia, MUNER Motorvehicle University of Emilia-Romagna, think tank ECCO, CNA Modena, with the support of the Democenter Foundation.
