Johannes-Joerg Rueger is President as of 1 February 2019 of Bosch Engineering GmbH, a wholly owned subsidiary of Robert Bosch GmbH. Bosch Engineering GmbH develops services and solutions for powertrain, safety, comfort, and electrical and electronic systems drawing on Bosch technology for large-scale series production and has been a systems development partner for the automotive industry since 1999. Its responsibilities include global sales, corporate strategy and communications. Bosch Engineering GmbH also includes ITK Engineering GmbH and Bosch's Commercial Vehicle and Off-Road unit. Johannes-Joerg Rueger was born on 17 February 1965 in Dortmund, Germany. After his schooling, he studied Electrical Engineering at the University of Dortmund in 1984, graduating in 1989. He received his Doctorate in Engineering (Dr.-Ing.) from the same university in 1996 and a second degree in Economic Engineering in 1996 from the Dortmund University of Applied Sciences.
