Università degli studi di Cassino e Lazio Meridionale

The University of Cassino and Southern Lazio is based in Cassino, an important town in the Lazio region, serving as a connecting hub between the regions of Lazio, Campania, Molise and Abruzzo. Besides the main headquarters in Cassino, we have an additional educational hub in Frosinone, where we offer programs in economics and Engineering. The University also manages the Angevin Castle of Gaeta along with the adjacent guesthouse, which is used for courses, conferences, international and national summer schools, and many other events. The University of Cassino’s offerings include undergraduate, graduate master’s and single-cycle programs, distributed in the following five Departments.

– Department of Economics and Law
– Department of Civil and Mechanical Engineering
– Department of Electrical and Information Engineering “Maurizio Scarano”
– Department of Humanities and Philosophy
– Department of Humanities, Social and Health Sciences.

Many courses are delivered entirely in English. UNICAS is one of the foremost centers of international studies in Italy, welcoming students from all over the world. Besides traditional B.A.s and M.A.s, our educational offer also includes Dual Degrees and Joint Master’s degrees in collaboration with several foreign universities. Our postgraduate offer is also extensive and includes PhD courses, Level I and II “Masters” (specialization courses), and courses for future teachers. Students have the possibility of performing study stays, internships and research periods abroad, at more than 100 EU and extra- EU institutions with whom we have collaboration agreements. Almost 8,000 students are enrolled at University of Cassino. Tehre are 54 teaching and research facilities, along with many multimedia classrooms, 3 libraries, 2 cafeterias, 2 multipurpose sports fields, a 1,500 square meters indoor gymnasium, pressostatic structure, tennis and padel courts, 1 swimming pool, 1 multipurpose sports hall, 1 athletic track, 1 gymnasium with a Europeanlevel indoor climbing facility. The university residences on campus, managed by the Lazio Region, have 346 places, 24 of which are intended for disabled students, and numerous social spaces: gymnasium, study rooms, game rooms, cafeteria, canteens, etc. Wifi and Lan services are provided by the GARR Network. The more recent university buildings are environmentally sustainable, EU energy class A, and use renewable energy. The CUDIR, University Center for Disability, Inclusion and Research, provides quality, inclusive and equitable education, and promotes opportunities for lifelong learning for people with disabilities.
