ROMAGNA MOTORCYCLE

5,000 kilometres, ten itineraries, a wealth of photos, videos, gpx files to discover the beauty and charm of Romagna on the saddle of your own motorbike, riding up rivers and valleys dotted with villages and castles to discover the natural and artistic beauties that make it a unique region, or following the adventurous stories of historical figures who have lived and loved it.

All this is Romagna Motorcycle, the project by Visit Romagna (in partnership with Ducati, Motor Valley, Misano World Circuit, Riders’ Land) for the promotion of motorcycling in a region that is universally known as the “Land of Motors” for the passion of its people.

A passion so deep-rooted and ancient as to push, in the second half of the 1960s, the municipalities of the Riviera to open the tourist season with a series of road races in Rimini, Riccione, Cesenatico, and Milano Marittima that took the epic name of Mototemporada Romagnola, which then developed and grew with the birth of two of the most famous circuits in the world, Misano and Imola, and finally promoting their own boys until they became, thanks to the ingenious inventiveness of the motoclubs that transformed go-kart tracks into circuits for mini-bikes, the absolute protagonists of the last few seasons of world motorcycling.

It is, for example, starting from the Rimini of Bastianini and Bezzecchi that the ‘Land of Champions’ itinerary reaches the Misano circuit dedicated to Marco Simoncelli, but only after touching Coriano, which houses the museum dedicated to him, and then arriving in the Riccione of Mattia Pasini and touching on Antonelli’s Cattolica, reaching Franco Mordidelli’s Babbucce, the temple of world motorcycling, that Ranch and Tavullia where today’s MotoGp champions were born or grew up under the guidance of Valentino Rossi.

But the journey through the Land of Champions is just one of the 10 itineraries that can be found and followed on the pages of www.visitromagna.it/motorcycle, 10 proposals to which, anticipating the times to come, is added one, Romagna Electric Motorcycle, completely dedicated to eco-sustainable mobility in the saddle of an electric motorbike in which love for the environment and the pleasure of bending the bike become one and the same thing.

Romagna Motorcycle is all this, an integrated and coordinated project to bring together the quality tourist offer that Romagna knows how to offer and the enthusiasts who make motorbikes the ideal means of travelling in freedom, a love that comes from afar for two-wheelers, capable of linking the beauty of its territory to a passion that like a thread, along the Via Emilia, unites and crosses the whole region, which for this reason is called Motor Valley.
