GLOBAL AUTOMOTIVE SUPPLY CHAIN: STATE OF THE ART AND OPPORTUNITIES FOR THE FUTURE

In the global, European and Italian automotive industry, there is a modest increase in the production of cars and light commercial vehicles.
The crisis in the electric supply chain has been resolved, but the green transition to all-electric and plug-in hybrid cars shows significant differences between regions, with heterogeneous behavior related to cultures, infrastructure and the used car market.
The electric supply chain shows geographic inhomogeneities, with a Chinese preponderance, causing a thinning of volumes for the European supply chain.

In addition, innovation in the sector is moving outside Italian borders, limiting opportunities and undermining the ability to compete on new technologies.
We will discuss these issues with leading Italian and European institutions and with the most representative companies in the Italian supply chain.
