Abstract: The challenge has been known for some time now. According to the objectives of the European Community, it is necessary to proceed with the electrification of new cars (we are talking about ending ICE engines from 2035) guaranteeing adequate recharging facilities, adequate assistance, maintenance and repair services, promoting a more sustainable mobility also through forms of short-term, long-term renting that are more flexible and that contain the delta cost of the electric product vs the traditional product. Clearly, this technological transformation of use involves an extremely important impact on employment for components and systems in progressive phase-out and new investments in R&D and production for new components and systems.
For a fairly long period, we have been in product scarcity, with higher new and used prices without discounts, and an adjustment in the logic of aiming for important results: aiming at volume rather than mass production, also due to the crises concerning semiconductors, raw materials, and logistics, etc.
