New roundabouts in Varano

New roundabouts in Varano

Donated by So.Ge.Sa and by the Centro Internazionale Guida Sicura of Andrea de Adamich

Last 17th December in Varano de' Melegari two roundabouts were inaugurated. They stand out for their particular originality and significance. The first one (on the way to enter the town, coming from Fornovo) is called "Rotatoria Autodromo", while the second one (just outside the city centre direction forward Bardi, close to the renowned fortress) is called "Rotatoria Castello".
Both are characterized by symbolic sculptures representing the excellences that the territory of Varano preserves. The two roundabouts refer in fact not only to the presence of an Autodrome and a "centro di guida" famous all over Europe, but also to the history and culture of the  built-up area itself. In the middle of the "Rotatoria Autodromo" rises a totem referring to the Centro Guida Sicura Andrea de Adamich, the Autodrome of Varano and two associations as Motor Valley and Città dei Motori; the "Rotatoria Castello" gravitates, on the contrary, around a monument dedicated to the historic and cultural roots of Varano with images of the Serravalle baptist, the Pietra Giubilare found in Pagano and the Pallavicino family tree.
These are significant choices deserved by the President of the Centro Internazionale Guida Sicura Andrea de Adamich, Alessandro Meggi manager of the the "Riccardo Paletti" Autodrome and Luigi Bassi, mayor of Varano de' Melegari.
